Problem
My role
My role in this project is a researcher, data analyst, and a visual contents designer. We went through problem defined, observation, secondary & primary research(Interviews and filed research,) Affinitization, Framework design, and storytelling. I got more familiar with the human-centered research method. I feel more confident to apply it and feel that I am capable to understand and get closer to users."
Process
Observation
Research
We spoke to people through two methods. Firstly, we conducted 24 interviews with our target stakeholders. Secondly, we took place culture probe on a weekend and spoke to everyone and got many interesting data. Other than that, we had a sensory cue kit workshop to get more useful insights.

We gathered field and secondary research, conducted observations, carried out interviews and did survey with passersby. From there, we culled down a whopping 1,300+ data points into digestible morsels of information.
Affinitization
Here we go,
The Ideal Experience of E-Learning!
Framework
The people have spoken! And, we listened. Based on our vast collection of data from students, professors, parents, professionals and academia experts, here is what we have constructed as the ideal experience of E-Learning:
The Pros of E-Learning
Instantly Grades
Students like being able to check their answers
and see grades instantly, upon online test/quiz
submission.
Materials Accessible
Students like the ability to reference older
materials, like lectures, if they can’t remember
something or need a refresher .
Diversity Learners
Professors value the student diversity that
E-Learning brings; they enjoy teaching fellow
professionals and learners from all over the world.
Convenience
Students and professors alike report a great
appreciation for E-Learning’s sheer convenience:
being able to work anytime,
The Cons of E-Learning
Impersonal
Students and professors both dislike
how impersonal online learning feels.
Lack of “Trust”
Students report sensing a lack of “trust” and
overall supervision with E-Learning.
Cheat
Students can easily cheat on online assignments.
Always On-Call
Professors reporting feel constantly “on-call”
for their students, especially given time differences.
